It really happened!
A few months after our crazy decision to leave it all behind: the jobs, the cars, and most of our worldly possessions, we’re sitting in Barcelona, Spain… WE’RE SITTING IN BARCELONA, SPAIN!!!
The Alter Ego..
Just a couple of hard-working Americans, stressed to the max, doing the typical 50-60 hour per week thing, woke up and decided (likely over a bottle of vino), enough is enough already! So we booked our one-way tickets and a month stay in Barcelona (non-refundable, so I’d have the balls to actually quit my fifteen year job), and began to systematically wrap up our current life chapter, with hopes to call our own shots in the next.
The Super Hero..
We are the WANDERLUST DUO! Able to travel long distances in severely cramped compartments! Able to navigate strange cities with incredibly little knowledge of the native language! Ha, ha!
The Blog.
So here it is, the Wanderlust Duo blog.. For the next couple of years we’ll be traveling around the planet, eating new foods, drinking new drinks and meeting new people. We thought it might be a good thing to keep track of our adventures, so VOILA!, here we go.. You’ll be able to see what we’ve been up to, and where we’re headed next, so please stop in from time to time and say hello!

YOU WON’T HAVE TO SAY THAT!!
I was at Breezy Point over the weekend and it was beautiful as usual, just very sad without Pat :’-( He’s everywhere around there though so I feel he is still “with us”…loved that man so much.
Rumor has it that you are thinking of heading to Costa Rica at some point in your wanderings….let me know if you are/do…..I used to spend a lot of time down there around 1997-2000……I know the Americans have befouled it with Golf Courses and huge resorts but I bet I could send you somewhere where you would be awestruck 😉

It’s good to hear from you Denise! Yep, we’re so glad we decided to make the plunge.. It’s unbelievably liberating and exciting to wake up each day without any idea what’s in store for us..
Breezy Point will always be a special place in so many peoples hearts, even without Pat there you can see him in every screw and nail of the resort.
We’re not really the golfing type, so would love some tips for Costa Rica! Maybe we’ll see you when back in December?
